According to The Health Resource Network (HRN), a non-profit health education organization, they assigned April as Stress Awareness Month –a national, cooperative effort to inform people about the dangers of stress, successful coping strategies, and harmful misconceptions about stress that are prevalent in our society.
Here are a few ways to cope with stress:
Focus on the now. Forget about the past and stop worrying about the future.
Make a simple change. Take it day by day -try turning off your notifications before bed or even not reading emails before you get to work.
Talk to Yourself– a positive pep talk in the morning or before bed may do you some good.
Meditate. 10 to 30 minutes of quiet time -just to clear your thoughts every day can do wonders for releasing stress.
Laugh. Go see a comedy, check out a thread of funny videos, or call that friend that always gives you the giggles.
Reading or Journaling Our thoughts can overwhelm us with stress, but keeping your mind busy with these activities can quiet the mind.
