You Should Probably Reconcile.

After a show from The Carter’s OTRII tour, Beyoncé’ recently reunited with -the original members of Destiny’s Child. First with Letoya Luckett and yesterday with LaTavia Roberson – and as a true fan of the 90’s and early 2000’s these pictures were epic to see. I never believed that this would not happen, but I was always curious about their dynamic after the split years later. Now I definitely want to know what prompted this mini-reunion. Look at all that love!

Reconciliation with old friends is important because overall healthy friendships are too necessary to neglect.

We all get into ugly fights and petty conflicts as we are trying to find ourselves, while at the same time trying to understand our friends who are trying to find themselves too. Please understand that I’m only talking about healthy friendships here.

Kandi from the R&B group “Xscape” was the one member who seemed to have differences with the other members -even taking a step back from the group again after their successful reunion at Essence last year. They finally brought harmony into the group by dealing with the past, even getting Kandi back on the So So Def Tour with Jermaine Dupri. Reconciliation is not easy but by ignoring reconciliation, you miss opportunities to collaborate. The very person you’re avoiding could easily be the person that can aid you in your career journey.

From personal experience, this time last year I reached out to my best friend. We almost went two years without speaking.

Old friends know you, they love you for you being you,  and they want to see you become a better you whether talking to you or not. Friendship is about counting the very small things.

From random calls at ungodly hours, sharing darkest of secrets together, discussing our lives, and helping one another through tough life decisions, count for more than fights keeping you away.
