Do you smell that? Cocoa Butter and Sex. It’s black history month and love is in the air because it is officially February.
I recently watched an episode of “Trigger Warning with Killer Mike” on Netflix, and he spent 3 days only buying or using black-owned products or services. As you can imagine, it was very difficult for him because pretty much EVERYTHING –cars, clothes, food, and basic necessities were owned or manufactured by white-owned companies.
After watching this episode, I wanted to try this method -not to the extent of Mike’s experiment, but I want to promote and support black-owned businesses in my hometown of Memphis. Beginning today, I will share my experiences on my personal Instagram account @_msniseybaby & Twitter account @MsNiseyBaby.com. At the end, of the month I will let know how this social experiment went.
Black Creatives Month
Also, this month I will be dedicating my site to black creatives from the past, present, and future that you need to know.
Since Valentine’s day will be here too, be on the lookout for lifestyle posts on black love, self-love, and a few tips for a perfect date night.
