#BlackCreativesMonth Langston Hughes

Happy Birthday to American poet Langston Hughes!

He was one of the earliest innovators of a new literary art form called jazz poetry. Best known as one of the leaders of the Harlem Renaissance in New York City. The poetry and fiction he wrote reflected the lives of working-class blacks in America at that time -reflecting the full scale of our struggles, joy, laughter, and music.
