On Thursday, September 5th, YouTube launched a new vertical called YouTube Fashion due to the popularity of style and beauty content that attracts millions of viewers to the platform. Today, YouTube says the number of Fashion & Beauty channels on their site has grown more than 6X from 2014 to 2018, and combined, generated billions of views in 2018.
The new vertical was created in attempt to organize some a lot of the content that is out, including style videos, model stories, industry collaborations, live runway streams, inside looks into the fashion industry, behind-the-scenes video, vlogs from fashion icons and more.
